As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.ResponsibilitiesYou will be working with a dynamic team of system engineers responsible for design decisions in all areas of A/V Systems and the technical direction of multiple projects across multiple programs for operations. Responsibilities include designing the systems hardware and software framework for large complex resilient systems and formulating high-level architectural solutions to ensure implemented solutions meet stakeholder needs, standards, and performance requirements. Essential responsibilities and activities include but are not limited to: Creating Drawing Packages and Bill of Materials in CAD.Design and testing of complex videoconferencing and integrated audio/visual technologies (videoconferencing, control systems, displays, video walls and matrix systems, audio reinforcement systems, cameras, microphones, document cameras, streaming technologies, etc.) and A/V based collaboration technologiesDesign of audio/video systems with Crestron, AMX and Extron control systemsConduct customer site surveys and provide sales engineering support, including collecting and recording detailed operational, functional and technical requirements, developing project scopes, and providing overall system costing for A/V projectsDesign and test and troubleshoot various network and telecommunications systems including IP networks and ISDN networksUnderstanding plans and specifications to identify the types and grades of materials and equipment needed to ensure compliance with project requirementsKnowledge of design techniques, tools, and principals involved in the production of electrical plans, blueprint and drawings Developing specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish workDevelop test plans for complex AV control system functional acceptance tests of AMX, Crestron, and Extron control systemsDevelop and conduct on-site user and administrative training for the installed integrated audio/visual systemsQualificationsClearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; Active Secret Clearance is required. Ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance is requiredKey Requirements:Education/Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Engineering with 5+ years' OR Master's Degree in Engineering with 3+ years' of progressive experience in the following:Developing and implementing hardware and software solutions for data center and virtual infrastructure technologiesDemonstrated experience with developing cost estimates and work breakdown structures for the design and implementation of complex projects.Demonstrated experience performing technical cross-training/coaching of junior colleaguesDemonstrated background working with multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated time management and organization skills to meet deadlines and quality objectiveAbility to travel, including internationally, up to 20% of the timeFamiliarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V and electrical equipment including related materials and specificationsStrong knowledge of videoconferencing standardsExperience reading and interpreting blueprintsExperience performing complex design/build and conceptual design practicesDemonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environmentAutoCAD experience, or experience drafting with a similar drafting softwareStrong Oral, Written and Presentation Skills with the ability and experience communicating directly with executive leadershipSolid problem solving and consultative skills in a fast-paced environmentWhat we offer:A collaborative team inspired by the way engineering and innovation enhance customer outcomes, improve lives, and change the world for the better.
